Superfoods for Every Problem

The term “superfood” sounds a bit like hype to claim a certain type of food has extraordinary powers that put “regular” foods to shame. But it’s actually true. There are some foods that are so nutrient-rich and chockfull of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that they can make more of an impact with just a few bites. If you’ve been skeptical thus far, take a chance on being the healthiest you’ve ever been and add some of these superfoods to your diet.
Concentration or Trouble Focusing
No matter your age, concentration problems can affect many of us. Concentration difficulties can be embarrassing and worrisome, leaving you to wonder if there's something inherently wrong with your cognitive function.
Mucuna Pruriens
Mucuna Pruriens is a superfood that has shown promise in having a positive effect on concentration. It contains an ingredient called L-Dopa, which is a naturally occurring amino acid that turns into dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that has been associated with better mood, memory and focus.
Immunity
Our immune system is absolutely key in helping us to stay healthy and feel our best, so if we can give it a little boost, why not? When your immune system is compromised, you may feel like you’re feeling “off” more often. A strong immune system will keep your body humming along at a fine pace like the well-oiled machine that it should be.
Stress
Stress has most likely affected everyone at one point or another. A major move, an illness, a divorce or breakup, a crucial exam -- these are all causes of stress that can greatly diminish our quality of life.
Maca
Maca is a superfood that’s believed to help diminish stress and give you a mental and physical boost of energy to help you attack your day with confidence. This superfood further promotes an overall positive and joyous mood while also increasing stamina. Maca is like a good friend or life coach giving you a little pep talk to give you the push you may need to conquer your days.
Hair & Skin
If wrinkles and a dull complexion and lifeless hair are something you’d rather not have, you probably stock up on natural skin care and hair products to give your look a little boost. But have you considered making that glow from the inside out?
He Shou Wu
He Shou Wu is a Taoist herb that can potentially nourish hair and skin. It works because it is very rich in antioxidants, which help protect against free radicals, which are responsible for degrading collagen and elastin, two proteins that keep skin firm and prevent wrinkles from forming. Even though these two proteins naturally diminish due to age, free radicals help accelerate this process. Adding he shou wu into your supplement regimen can help you look brighter and healthier.
